batch resize

Does anyone know how I can resize a batch of photos taken in Nikon NEF raw? I have the Nikon software but cannot figure out how to do it. I have like 400 pics and do not want to do them 1 by 1.

Also I would like to keep a copy my original pics in NEF raw. I just want to print a bunch but no one prints NEF raw.

Irfanview is a wonderful freeware tool like the Swiss Army Knife of viewers/converters/manipulators, and seems to have an NEF plug-in: http://www.irfanview.com/
