That's one nice bumper. Nice, clean design and appears to be very functional! Good to see folks fab'ing their own things here. Let me know when you get a price nailed down? Again, good job! :sombrero:

Thanks guys,
I'm thinking the price would be around $1000 with no grill guard, $1150 with center grill guard and $1300 with full grill guard. Could be less if there in enough interest for a group buy, I also have a post on ih8mud. What do you guys think about that price point?

What gauge steel is the bumper?

I used 10ga with gussets bends and supports where needed. I have built a lot of bumpers out of 3/16 and have never been to fond of the weight. I can honesty say the design is lighter stronger and more rigid than most bumpers made with 3/16. Here are a few of the others iv built.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1418008087.148379.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1418008129.839324.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1418008178.494964.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1418008220.979002.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1418008266.758975.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1418008338.673383.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1418008380.993876.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1418008408.619059.jpg

Don't forget the lx470 crowd. I'd be interested if it fit my LX.

Haha, it should, but I can't say that for sure, most of the after market bumper are the same for both but this one is very tight to the body compared to others. Where are you located? You could be the test dummy.

Thanks. I'm in the middle of finishing up my rear bumper build and used 3/16th's box and plate. It is extremely heavy and wanted to steer away from that for my front bumper. I'm glad to hear 10 gauge is good with good supporting. Thanks for the info. Your bumper designs look great by the way. :victory:

That bed rack on the Tacoma is Sick! I'm thinking about something similar for my 2010. I've got a Besttop Supertop, and was imagineering something similar to what's on the black truck. Looks great!

Thanks guys, so I started kind of a group buy over on ih8mud. So the plan right now is I'm going to build a new one for my cruiser and make a few changes. And then take it in get them on a cnc at a local metal shop. I'm planing on having the first batch ready around February or March. The price for the first batch of 5 will be $800 with no grill guard, $$900 with center grill guard and $1000 for full. Here's the catch, I will need serious commitments and a deposit of $150. I know that is asking a lot but there is a lot of cost involved with getting them started so I need to make sure people are serious. I figured if I sell 5 At that price that will cover the initial investment. I'm not sure if I'll be able to keep the price that low after my first batch but I will do my best. Pm me if you want to get on the list. There are 3 more spots available. Thanks

What about one for a sequoia? I havent found to many other options on the market.

The problem with the sequoia is they made way to many changes over the years. That is why there are not much options out there.
