15" macbook pro w/ Yosemite & CS5 for trade - GONE

Looking for trades. EDIT - Deal done.

She has served me well, but I've moved to a macbook air for my daily driver.

The Bad:
A1175 Li-on battery started to swell yesterday. Removed & retired. Currently battery-less. Knock-off A1175 is ~$45
iSight camera no longer works. (I could probably dig up an old 1st gen external iSight if needed.)

The Good:
15" well-loved macbook pro, early '08 model
Matte screen option
Wiped & rebuilt w/ MAC OS 10.10.1 Yosemite, including MS Office & Adobe CS5.1
2.5 Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM, NVIDIA 8600M, 200GB 7200rpm HD, Superdrive dvd-r
Firewire 400 and 800 ports, ExpressCard port, DVI video out, line in, analog & optical audio out

Will include apple magsafe power cord, DVI-to-VGA cable & Keen 17" padded attache case w/ computer

Bottom line - not the shiniest, but still surprisingly good performance w/ photoshop, iLife, and MS office apps. Nice back-up Mac if you need one. My main use was aperture & finalcut pro (neither of which are currently installed.)






Interested in 12v air, LED bars, Canon speedlites, gopro3 or ?

matte vs. glossy

A couple folks asked about the matte screen. It was an optional upgrade at time of purchase. Older apple cinema displays (20" and 24") used to have matte screens. The idea is that screen colors are more natural & less "over saturated" - better for print output matching & less glare.

Pic below shows 13" glossy macbook air next to 15" macbook pro (up for trade) w/ overhead light reflections for comparison.
