Need help with stored routes /tracks

I have about seven years worth of tracks & routes I save from different trips. They are broken down into folders by states.
I'm using Garmin Mapsource when laying out the routes and to edit tracks/routes.

Now I can't open them, when trying to open them I get a message:
xxxxxx.gdb is not a valid MapSource file and could not be opened.

I called Garmin and was told it's because I'm using a newer version of MapSource but I can't find an older version on line to d/l
When trying to open in Garmin BaseCamp I get an error message and can't open there either.

I tried changing the file name to gpx still no luck

Anyone know what do do to open thses files?
I'm planning a return trip to Alaska & can't open last times route or track

Very frustrating having lost years worth of data.

Thanks for any help.

Which Old Version Do You Need?

I have several older versions of MapSource executable files you could try if you want:

4.06 from 2001, 4.09 from 2002, 4.13 from 2003, 6.3 from 2004, 6.5 from 2005, 6.15.6 from 2009, 6.16.03 from 2010 and 6.16.1 from 2013. Send me a PM if you want any of these. The are update files with the instructions from the Garmin download site so I don't know if they'll work as stand alone installations but it could be worth a try.

There is also a program called Expert GPS that I've used for translating various types of data files for GPS information. It could also be worth a try:
http://www.expertgps.com/

Another possibility is GPS Babel:

Good luck,
