I'm kind of new here and I don't post too often but I do come here and read quite a bit. While I don't really have time in my schedule to take on any real expeditions I do manage to go camping once or twice a year on weekend outings. This past Memorial Day weekend I picked up a '02 Dodge Dakota 4x4. I really like the look of an expedition vehicle with a roof rack on it and I've been thinking about making one for my "new truck" and I've been researching racks here quit a bit and collecting ideas on how I'd like to build mine. I want to build a rack but I don't plan on adding any kind of cap or camper to my truck. There are some to be found here by "searching" but, I stumbled upon a Google search that gave me a lot more ideas and I just wanted to pass it on here in case anyone else is looking for ideas. If you search Google "Images" for "chase truck rack" you will come up with quite a few good pictures of racks that have some great designs and lots of ideas for building one of your own.
