I'm partial to this shot because it turned out about the same as my flash of inspiration showed me. Sometimes I have a vision when I come upon a scene and I try to see if I can capture that in an image. The subject matter is a massive snow "shed" that protects the road from destructive avalanches.

I liked the the snaking path of the road but had to use my truck's headlights to brighten the reflective striping to make up for the rapidly dimming daylight. I also liked the colored glow of the lamps, something that will be gone as LED technology continues to make inroads on outdoor lighting

Do you work for Colorado tourism? Now I wanna go to Colorado (;

You should go! It is really as good as it looks, if not even better. If I worked for Colorado Tourism it would be a paid vacation!

PS: My blog's stats show a huge spike in hits from viewers in China so maybe there will be an influx of visitors from that part of the world? :elkgrin:
