Hello all. I am new to this fine website and thought I would show off my 1984 M1009 I am slowly turning into my BOV/expedition vehicle. I bought it a few years ago and so far all I've done is new wheels and tires. My future plans include a modest 2.5 inch lift, winch, winch bumper, roof rack and possibly a snorkel. I also picked up a M416 trailer to go with it.:)

Nice looking set up! Welcome to the group, glad to have a fellow '84 1009 owner onboard! Any mods or significant work done on your 6.2?

sweet combo

I just invest in the goodies you want, those CUCV's are usually rugged, its the locker in the rear that usually goes from what I've heard

Welcome! Cool rig and trailer! I always wanted to build up a 416 trailer, but then I got a flatbed on my truck and had more storage room than I knew what to do with haha!

Question, on a lot of CUCVs I've seen, there's two recesses in the grill. One of them is a slave-start, what's the other thing (IIRC it's on the driver's side)?

Looking forward to the build!

It's a blackout drive light.

Thanks everybody for the warm welcome:) I ordered my lift kit. It should be here soon. I went with a Rancho 2.5'' lift. I will post pics once it's installed.

I too had a 84 cucv. Loved that truck and wish I still had it. I swapped in a FF 14 bolt and 8 lug 10 bolt onto mine.
