    Default A little progress...

Finally got new springs, steering dampener, and wheels on the old girl. It's a street shot, but I really feel like I've got a new truck.

So glad the ole Troopie landed in good hands. Such a cool vehicle. We had a blast with 1leglance last year roaming around White Rim. It’s looking nice!

I bought a troopie a few weeks back.I had to fly 1600klms and drive it back which was fun as I only had 30 mins to inspect it before the sun went down. Some of the pics I took just after I bought it and when I got it home.
    Its a 95 HZJ75 with 210000klms,I think Im the 3rd owner.

A pic of the landscape in the Pilbara region ,the heart of the iron ore country.Much of this land is believed to have been the 1st land to emerge from the sea 5 billion years ago.
I drove down this road for nearly 300klms in the dark and saw only one car coming the other way.

I wasnt happy with the arrangement in the back or the quality pf the PO's handiwork,so all this has been removed. Some of the gear that came with the troopie.

    Thanks!

Made the non-winch bumper a winch bumper this weekend. With a bit of research, I found a winch that tucked in very cleanly... must say I'm very happy. I still need to pull the bumper and give it a good clean/fresh coat of paint, but here it is for now:

Nice! A couple days later we continued North up 395 to 89 then 4 West to Calaveras Big Trees. Hwy 4 is an amazing road with some steep grades and beautiful sights.
