Horseshoe Lake AZ with actual water in it.

Horseshoe lake AZ is one of my favorite areas all year long because it's rare to see anybody there. For a few months you may see a actual water in but it was near full this weekend! When we got there there was one guy fishing but as we left we had the entire lake and shoreline to our selfs. We paddled quite a few miles to circle the lake and you can see how far away we were able to get from the dam in the last pic. I'll dig up the off road thread of the area so you can see the trails.

Nice shots, we camp and paddle a lot at Bartlett Lake, Horseshoe is usually dry when we have been there.Have you ever floated the Verde from Horseshoe to Bartlett?

No but I'd like too. Pick a weekend. The fisherman I met said they will open the spillway soon and that stretch of river will be great.
