Liberty Engine Bay Fires?

Just FYI,
Following this fire call, I was told by the owner that they had been experiencing electrical shorts with this vintage Jeep. The dealer couldn't locate anything. The owner had extensive dealer records and it appeared to be a stock Liberty. It appeared the fire started on the front, passenger side part of the engine bay.

Never heard of any issues with them.
Been on all of the main LIBERTY forums since 2004 and nothing regarding engine fires

Sometimes water gets where it shouldn't and then you get a fire... Lots of fires due to poor installs of aftermarket alarms and other junk.
Did it start where the battery was? Batteries CAN short internally and cause a melt down like this...

Most of the vehicle fires I have responded to were either intentionally set for insurance or revenge or due to aftermarket equipment malfunction. Some of the hack wiring jobs I have seen makes me amazed we don't see more car-b-q's.
