Interesting idea for mounting the CB. May have to try a variation of that in my Expedition.

I'm constantly amazed at how little extra space there is in these "full size" vehicles.
And my wife uses those cupholders. I don't want to give up functionality for something like a CB- a carrier pigeon nest might be considered, but not for a CB. (I'm a recently crowned Ham operator, so I'm just having fun)

I'm of two minds for the same reason but there are cup holders in the console...
I was thinking more as a custom console for USB jacks, SD slots for the ICE system, etc. Even a fixed RAM mount ball there would probably be more useful than yet more cup holders. But that's just me.
Great thread on the F-150. How did the platform turn out? I'm researching different materials for a light weight platform arrangements. Who knows, some lawn furniture might get recycled. Weight adds up quickly with toys, gadgets and gear, so I'm trying to cut every pound I can.
Think I'll have a couple beers before cutting into my dash, steady hands will help (my pool game is much better after a few). My cig lighter and ashtray would go before my cup holders, but I'm thinking of a removable console for my ham gear, I'd rather not leave in the truck in some places.
Hey guys, what about a 10th generation F-150/250 thread putting all the mods in one place? Add trailers if you got'em. I'm taking pics of my builds but having issues trying to paste them here!
