The lights are LED with four prong plug that mate to the standard Toyota North America trailer harness. It is secured to the trailer and the wires are routed thru the frame.
The lights themselves have electrical quick connects so the lights can easily removed while 4x4 off pavements. This is s 12V system from the trailerstore and are made for boats trailer so they can be submerged in water.
The military lights already have 12V LED lightbulbs and a converter plug so it can be used in 12V four prong plug
The reference to "temp" lights is because the proper way is to install the military lights and run them in 12V. I just never got to do that minor project.
