I got the smaller awning from the upholster. It was perfect timing since I was working on the doors.
Just enough to cover the doors and takes about 5 seconds to put up.
Cabinet is all done.
a shower wand comes out the side...
6 switch panel so I can control some stuff from my bed.
Here's the other door. I'll stash the coleman stove in the space and cook on it while it's down. The holes are to hold my cooking utensils.
To give you an idea of how much room it takes up. Not too bad imo.
And someone gave me a new shirt lol

On the 5second awning, that includes the time to get the awning "legs" out of the roof box, on to the rack, awning out of storage, and setup? Impressive!
Can you tell us how you're plumbing water to the sink since it's on the door? Where does the surface of the sink/counter land compared to yourself?(I'm wondering how tall it is compared to you)

I'll leave the awning snapped to the two arms and store it like that. A little longer than 5 seconds to get it outta the box, but you get the idea. Just set it in it's place and take some bungees to the corners. The sink is about armpit height. I'm going to run the plumbing just around the corner. I'll drain it into a 3 gal jug or something.

awesome man. I'm glad someone learned something from my experience. I try to take as many pictures as possible, but sometimes when I get in the zone I can't be bothered to stop and take pics. I'm way behind in my deadline to leave so I'm kinda busting *** to get outta here.
I don't have much of an update. Everything is ready for power so I have a lot of wiring to do. I'm not sure how many progress pics I'll get of wiring, it's kinda boring.
I put the "outside kitchen" together.
Hooked up the solar panels to the charge controller. The lights and solar panel wires all go through the roof rack to the back corner, down through the ladder, and up underneath where the battery wires come through. I was trying to put as few holes in the van as possible.
Had my old friend/co-worker help me out.
Then the skeeters came out and it got dark so I'll update again when I get some more work done.

I finally figured out what I'm going to do with all the electrical. I'm going to run all the switches to one spot and all the auxiliary stuff to one spot; and connect it through a screw terminal. It will make everything easier to daisy chain or move or install, etc. The 4' countertop makes an amazing workbench. With the little stools I'm able to sit at the perfect height. I think I just discovered my desk.

And the back where the fuse boxes and the screw terminals are going to be. I'll also have the relays up there too. :emo:
I did do one adjustment... The front door for the sink cabinet kept falling down. I originally used a thing like this.
and just switched to velcro. I'm finding that I end up using velcro on everything. I think I learned just to start out with that now. I've learned that velcro is god in a camper van....

Hahahaha, coming from a telecom background, velcro is god in everything! With that though, I've been having really good luck with the magnet style cabinet clips.
Really been enjoying following your thread. I'm doing almost the exact same thing as you with the exceptions of not full timing it, and not anywhere near as nice of a van! Seriously, this is a sweet rig. I'll be down in Colorado/Utah/Wyoming/Tahoe (Epic Pass) this winter for three week intervals, heading down from AK here in about 5 days or so. Looking forward to seeing you out there!
