Evan's F250 CCSB build

mtm_motors

Observer
I'm starting a thread to document my cousin Evan's build on his Powerstroke 5 spd F250. He had been looking for a late model OBS for quite a while and finally found a suitable one a few months ago.

Our grandparents had a 95 F150 Eddie Bauer 4.9 5 spd that we both learned how to drive manual in around the farm. He has a similar truck now, but of course everything is better the heavier duty it is! Hence the search for a late model CC Powerstroke. Interestingly, all of these trucks have been the same color.

I'll post what he has done so far and then post updates as he sends them to me (I'm not close to the build, unfortunately).

The truck as he bought it:

Axle removal for SAS. He planned on doing it if he wound up with a F250 and found a donor axle from a F350 within a few weeks of buying the truck.

He found a set (the others were loaners) on 12 bolt re-centered beadlocks. Looking pretty beastly. This is with no lift, I think he plans to possibly do a shackle flip and that is it.

Gotta put something on that new grille

A little Cardboard-Aided-Design (sorry, whoever I stole that from)

I recommended cutting the flares flush with the top and extending the bumper under them, I think he may wind up doing that

And that brings us to its current status. That was stretched out over the past few months and I have forgotten some of the details but I will keep this thread up to date as his build progresses

And... it is an F250 again!

He had some issues with clogging fuel filters and then shutting down before, so I believe that will be addressed next. The PO had run it on veg oil so it should be pretty simple

He got the fuel pickup pulled and it came out in pieces... replacing that should fix some issues!

With the new grille you can no longer access the hood release lever, so he made an extended handle.
