Matt Reynolds leaves on a solo 220+ mile Fat bike-pack, up high around Lake Tahoe.

jefe here. You don't know me, but you should know my son Matt. He lives in Truckee. He left on a 4-day Fat Bike pack this A.M. He is one of the kings of fat bike. Almost all dirt. No support whatsoever; unless you count the stop at the fox and hound, the only civilization on the trip. He carries everything he needs, which seems awfully minimal to me. I hope you can get to his F.B. page or twitter to see the pix and description of his bike pack. This is whacky.

One of my pals did a similar route around Tahoe a few years ago. Beautiful area and 200 miles is a nice length of a ride. Not too long, not too short. Easy to carry all the necessary food supplies. That's my favorite distance. It's cool it also coincides with the distance around Tahoe. I hope he has a good ride.

And...not as whacky as you think. He's in good company. :)
