What issues are there in converting a single speed canter transfer case to two speed?

Hi welcome to the forum.
.
You would need to use the 2 speed transfer case from the current model B71 so that it matches the smaller Duonic output shaft....and that rules out a second hand transfer case from an earlier model which then creates the biggest issue .... COST of new genuine parts from Fuso.
.
By the way, if you weren't sure, they are not AWD....just "High Gear" only.

That's what you get for having a fancy push button, single speed, tied into your iphone and Sat Nav transfer case instead of a good old fashioned mechanical one that just does exactly what you want it to do every time without fail, regardless of ECM, dead battery, day of the week of anything else.

Back to your regularly scheduled programming.

PS: there is a three speed option as well, that does not add any length to the T-case, so you could have something about 2:1 for fire roads and such, then a 5:1 for more technical work. It will outlast the truck, if I were a betting man.

EDIT: just realised you were in OZ, so you may be able to find the tech specs. Sending your case here would be a biotch...
