I've been lurking around here a few years now, figured I'd contribute. My main hobby is ATVs/SxSs. A couple of years ago I had dedicated camping rig and a dedicated DD/tow truck.

But I couldn't tow my toys and bring the family(wife/2 kids) with me. So I bought this for $3k. 1989 Ford F350 4x4 CCLB with the drivetrain and front clip out of a '97 F350, it had 169k on the odometer.

Day I bought it

And I wasted no time taking it offroad. I forgot to mention it didn't come with the front drive shaft, lol.

I traded my wife's Sportsman for a Yamaha Rhino which was too big to fit on the carrier but still small enough to fit between the wheel wells in the bed. So the ATV carrier had to go.

I ended up selling the Rhino so I could get something I could build into more of a mud bike, a Polaris Ranger 800, which was too big to fit between the wheel wells. SO I built this contraption which worked real good.

Swapped out the Yamaha for another Polaris and finally picked up a respectable trailer.

Which brings me to this past weekend. I was just about to put my truck up for sale so I could a 15 passenger van to tear the rear seats out of and have some where to sleep. I was browsing this forum, and ran across these pics...
(not my truck)

Once I saw those, I knew I had to get a camper shell for the bed of my truck. Looked for a day or two and finally found. Picked up for $80.

Ahh love this color combo, it goes together like peas and uhh...white chocolate cake maybe? On a serious note, very cool to quickly see your trucks progression. Looking forward to what comes next.

Score!!, great find on the camper. I bought one eventually after years of not having one. I had a small trailer I pulled so I didn't need one. Now with the camper on the truck I don't know how I ever lived without it. Sold the small trailer last year and about to buy a 8.5x20 cargo trailer to make it my toy hauler/base camp set up.
