Looks like travelers are getting a break from T-Mobile.

T-Mobile announced this week that its Simple Choice customers will soon be able to call to and from any location in North America (Canada, USA and Mexico) as part of their basic cell phone plan. No roaming charges, no international add-on, just the basic Simple Choice plan. The expanded "home area" takes effect July 15.

We got a T Mobile prepaid card for our trip down the US east coast last winter. For 10 of the 30 days we paid for we had no coverage. As far as I am concerned T Mobile coverage sucks. We switched to Verizon who have horrendous customer service. Damned if you do...
