    Default AquaDesign brand

Is anyone familiar with this brand? I'm looking and I found a used one at a local outdoor shop. It is an Aqua Desing 14' kayak. I don't remember the model name and I can't find much about the brand online, except for their own company website. It is no help to me since this kayak is several model years old.

    Can anyone provide some insight?

    Thanks,

Checked out their website, it appears they are a French company? If that is so, then the product should be good, as the Europeans do a great job with their boats ( My P&H is from the UK ). A friend of mine was a US Sales Rep for a French boat company ( cant recall the name ) and loved their products. An injury forced him to quit kayaking and I was disappointed when I missed out on buying one of his leftover boats.

I looked on www.paddling.net for any reviews of their products and there did not appear to be any, but if they are a small imported product that does not surprise me.

Check the boat out - if it has no patches on it, and the storage lids are still in good shape ( if it has compartments ) then it should still be good to paddle.

    Default I called the store...

I was way off. The Kayak is an AquaTerra Spectrum, a kayak made by Perception. I can't find many reviews, leading me to believe that this boat is probably about 10-15 years old. I may give it a try since it is only $225. If anyone has any warnings or cautions about this model please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Default Thanks!

I read those reviews and it seems people either love it for what it is (entry level kayak) or hate it because of what it is (entry level kayak).

I did sit in it and my only concern is that it has a very low deck height. That is really my only gripe. It has a huge dry compartment in the rear, which is nice.
