If you have anything that needs fixing during Burning Man, trailer or otherwise, my camp is BRC Welding & Repair. We will be at 3:15 & B. I'll be on playa starting Fri, 8/28.

Hell, if you don't have anything that needs fixing, still stop by for a drink. Ask for Frostbite.

Great!!! thanks for the offer, if i need anything ill be sure to let you know. and i will definitely come by and say hi. I'm not sure where ill be camped we don't have an established theme camp so we will see what spot we can snag when we arrive. probably around 5:30 and E

i got some really good work done this past weekend. completed the Wood framing and got the plywood sheets attached to the outside of the trailer. got some gray wood stain done and did some Polyurethane coating yesterday. ill finish the coating and corners by the end of this week. gonna have the shell weather proof hopefully by the end of the week and work on the back hatch/door finished this weekend. also hope to finish the wiring and lights this weekend as well. oh also i have the 7 wire connector box installed and ready to wire all the necessary electrical items. the project is going as planned maybe a few days to a week behind schedule but i think i can get done what needs to be done to be ready for the burn.

here are a few progress pictures.

so i got a ton of work done over the past week. i was able to finish all the polyurethane coating on the outside of the camper, i installed most of the trim work, installed all the outside lights, installed all the 12v and all the 120v wiring inside the framing, installed all the foam boardinsulation, and cut out and fitted the inside walls. i also finished all the "trailer wiring" ie the turn lights connected the electric brake wiring, installed all electrical to the 7 pin wiring harness. essentially all wiring, and outside lighting is finished, i had a little bit of a electrical issue with the tail/turning signal lights but it turned out to be a faulty 6" red oval LED light, i ended up double checking all my wires and spent 2x-3x the amount of time but it took me a while to figure out what was going wrong. so now im waiting on a replacement LED tail light. yesterday i was able to go to the Bishop, CA DMV and got the trailer registered as a custom build and was in and out in under 45 mins. this project is back on schedule and im extremely excited to see it all come together.

my plan is to have all the indoor outlets and and switches and the last window installed today and tomorrow and then start working on the framing of the back wall and working out any issues that may come up with the door functioning properly. the plan is that by the end of next weekend i will have the back wall installed and ready for staining and poly urethane coating. then install the window in the door the last week i have before the burn. if i have time i would like to install a bed that slides into a bench and maybe a little storage closet/self where i will install the window AC and get all that functioning properly.

lets hear your comments and questions. this project has been really fun and really interesting getting together.

Burning man set up

and here are some pictures of my camp set up from burning man. i have a few pictures of just the look of everything and then one picture of the inside of the camper trailer with some tapestries i hung up. it kept extremely comfortable, rarely had to use the AC and when i did i only set it to low because of how cold the trailer kept.

once again questions are happily answered.
