so i got a ton of work done over the past week. i was able to finish all the polyurethane coating on the outside of the camper, i installed most of the trim work, installed all the outside lights, installed all the 12v and all the 120v wiring inside the framing, installed all the foam boardinsulation, and cut out and fitted the inside walls. i also finished all the "trailer wiring" ie the turn lights connected the electric brake wiring, installed all electrical to the 7 pin wiring harness. essentially all wiring, and outside lighting is finished, i had a little bit of a electrical issue with the tail/turning signal lights but it turned out to be a faulty 6" red oval LED light, i ended up double checking all my wires and spent 2x-3x the amount of time but it took me a while to figure out what was going wrong. so now im waiting on a replacement LED tail light. yesterday i was able to go to the Bishop, CA DMV and got the trailer registered as a custom build and was in and out in under 45 mins. this project is back on schedule and im extremely excited to see it all come together.
my plan is to have all the indoor outlets and and switches and the last window installed today and tomorrow and then start working on the framing of the back wall and working out any issues that may come up with the door functioning properly. the plan is that by the end of next weekend i will have the back wall installed and ready for staining and poly urethane coating. then install the window in the door the last week i have before the burn. if i have time i would like to install a bed that slides into a bench and maybe a little storage closet/self where i will install the window AC and get all that functioning properly.
lets hear your comments and questions. this project has been really fun and really interesting getting together.
