Towers are old-school, very stout, very tall, in pretty good shape. A touch of rust on some of the tower edges, factory coating is intact.
The only part number I could find was a stamped "9202" on the tower, but no Thule research turned anything up.
Missing one bolt at top of one tower (in pic), used to secure the cross bar - standard metric hardware to replace. I ran it w/o the bolt.
Towers were on my Westy, mounted to rain gutters, clearing the (closed) pop-top to carry heavy loads. I now have add-on "gutters" on the fiberglass top and shorty towers w/ my lighter loads + solar.
Towers currently set for 18" rise, can go + or - 3" w/ adjustment.
So, new Thule 953 towers are 11" - These giant towers are adjustable from ~15" to ~21" above gutter. Two "grabbers" per foot, vs. the single grabber on the 953 style foot.
