Kids Bikes - Crap vs Quality

Interesting. Never thought of the pure BMX route. Cost?

The lightweight race-oriented BMX'ers can be in the same price range as your 20" Cleary, or even more. But the real light ones have a 75-100lb rider weight limit, so if you have BMX tracks in your area you can find these 2nd-hand fairly regularly. Mine are in Central-Western-NJ and very cheap.

Just grabbed an Isla Cnoc 14 for our little girl. We are ready to transition from the Strider and start pedaling. I have a buddy that works at a bike store, and he said it was the best built kids bike he has had come through the shop.

This Isla CNOC 14 is very well built. The bike is super beefy, brakes work incredibly well and the components are really nice. The wheels roll very smoothly and all of the fit and finish is perfect. Our little one is adapting well to the new concept of pedaling instead of striding.

We are very happy with bike and look forward to doing a full review on it soon.

Really enjoying this Isla bike! Our 3 year old is riding without training wheels.
