Phoenix MCU Jerry Can Holder

I'm beginning to suspect that either the phoenix MCU-1 jerry can carrier was scrapped or the company that sells them Mojave Offroad went out of business. I have sent them 2 emails and I'm waiting for any response... the best jerry can holder I've seen yet though and I'd love to have one for my roof rack.

OT, but just short of a regular hitch rack, does anyone make as a quick solution for not, a jerry can hitch mount that will hold 2 or 3 cans.
A quick google shows a 1 can holder, and then all custom rigs.

Here is a possible CHEAPER solution for a jerry can holder. This may be useful to some people, though I know many people may not go this route, but I believe sharing it, it may help a few people or it may give someone an idea to come up with something even better.

It is just using a 10 gallon rubbermaid container from home depot. Just that simple. It looks like it is really handy and helps a lot if you happen to have any leaks or are concerned with any leaks.

Or you can get a 37 gallon rubbermaid which I think you can fit up to 4 jerry cans in the upright position and they would be snug in there...

Nicely found, PetitFrereArmada! IIRC, while not as low-profile, the taller 24gal Rubbermaid ActionPacker also allows two cans to be covered.

To the OP another roof-mounting alternative could be the BajaRack Fuel Can mount (P/N BR-FCH2-0) which is not a 'protective' as the Phoenix MCU, but fits NATO/Blitz/Scepter cans.

Price is around $100. A ton of vendors sell BajaRack online and the base is very low-profile when empty. Not my truck, but here's some great example pictures...

They also have a specific mount (P/N BR-WCH2-0) for Scepter water cans because of the oversize spot on the lid - http://www.bajarack.com/?id=accessories_ledlightbar&idAccesorio=40&idGaleria=130
