Toyo or Nitto?

I know Toyo and Nitto are the same company but I have a set of 285/75/16 Toyo MTs but they'd do not wear out the best and do not last very long, has any one had luck with the Nitto Trail Grapplers?

I have almost 15000 on some and I'm happy so far with the visual wear. Also the quietest MT I have heard rolling. 5 tire rotation

Really???? I have the toyo mt 255/85/16 on my land cruiser and if anyone ever ask I tell them they wear like iron. I put 20k plus on last set before blew sidewall (my fault) so on second set. But they wear great even at very low pressures both on and off road. My only grip/concern is they do tend to get sidewall cuts. I never lost any air from them though.

Yeah and everyone else seems to have good luck with them I just changed the air pressure in mine and cross rotated them so we will see how this helps, what pressure do you run yours at?

I had the Toyo's on my JK and Nittos on my Sierra: the Nittos seam to wear better. It is hard to compare between two different vehicles...but I would buy Nittos again over Toyos for my truck. That's my .2 cents.

I have the Toyo MT 285/75/17 (34") on my FJ Cruiser and have 20k on them so far with >15/32 tread remaining. If they continue at 4/32 per 20k miles, then I could reach 60k on this set. I run them at 40psi on the road and 10-16psi off road. I have not found them lacking in any conditions and with this kind of wear, they may actually be worth the high cost.

I'd have to say the Nitto Trail Grapplers I have on my Ram suck in the wear dept.......21K miles on the truck and I'd say I have maybe another 15K on these tires.....we'll see.

As a side note, the Terra Grapplers I had on my F250 were the worst tires in snow I have ever driven swapping to Duratracs was the best thing I did on that rig.

I like the General AT2s on my Tundra, those wear like iron....

The toyo MT's I had on my Touareg were a beast of a tire. I blew out the beads on two wheels after the rollover and was able to limp it home, load range E for the win
