Non-Profit / Volunteer Position: Sales / Marketing Representative.
OVERVIEW:
Overland Expedition Group Inc. is a long term vehicle dependant expedition adventure travel group. The group prepares and trains for long term expeditions to support charitable organization.
The group is a Non-Profit Corporation and no team member benefits in any capacity financially through activities involved.
The group has been in existence since 2006 and has completed a variety of functions, events and expeditions.
Overland Expeditions conducts expeditions to remote regions of the world via 4x4 wheel drive vehicle.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Overland Expeditions is seeking a Marketing / Sales professional to join its ranks.
This position would see the successful candidate contributing their skills as a proven sales and marketing professional to the group via contacting possible corporate sponsors and selling the idea of the group and their mission to Corporate sponsors in hopes of gaining financial and 4 wheel drive equipment support to complete the groups objectives.
The successful candidate will also have technical knowledge of the new series 2007/2008 Jeep JK Wrangler Unlimited, as this is the current chosen transport of the team, and further technical knowledge of the current 4 wheel drive industry in Canada and the United States of America. Further to that, be able to deal knowledgably with industry professionals as a representative of the group.
This is a UNPAID position with no salary. It is volunteer. The successful candidate will be invited to attend training and testing sessions, events, and future expeditions as a Team Member, and become part of the Demo Team.
