With increased conversations about our 6" kit for the Ford E Series vans, we also wanted to let you know about our 4" kit.
This kit was designed for the do it yourself guy, no need to weld anything just unbolt and bolt the new WTD parts in the stock locations. It allows you to eliminate any stink bug appearance with the bigger coils while dramatically improving performance. Generally allowing you to run a 265 tire. The kit comes with Bilstein shocks but also offers the Fox shocks as an upgrade, and now available is the rear add a leaf to lift the rear without the use of blocks.
Here is what you get with the upgraded 4" kit

You will not be unhappy with this set up. Great ride and handling. Jeremy is great to work with. I don't know how he finds the time to do what he does, he has spent a few hours on the phone with me over the course of my purchase, and has never made me feel like it was an imposition to be answering my questions. Great guy to do business with.

I just installed mine this weekend. Those radius arms look different than mine, the rear bolt on is different. Bolt up design. The only real struggles were related to Ford's engineering, or lack thereof. I used Rustoleum Hammered finish in silver.

All new ball joints and tie rod ends. The ones I had weren't that bad but I didn't really know until it was too late. I'd rather have all new and be done for a long time.

Back on the wheels. I like the nice view of the springs and shocks. These are the stock 245 75-16 tire size.

I haven't rolled it out of the shop yet, but there was a 3.5" gain as measured from the floor to the peak of the front fenderwell arch.

The radius arms pictured above are for the 08^

Look forward to seeing it on the ground, and what you think about how it drives. :smiley_drive:

I just took it to the alignment shop. When putting together all the new tie rods, we spun them on the same number of revolutions as the old ones, but it was super messed up and I'm not going to pass judgement on the new setup until it's properly aligned.

The alignment characteristics change significantly when the static ride height is changed. Running the same settings as the original suspension will throw off every aspect of the front end alignment. This is also true for when the vehicle articulates through the suspension travel since the beams are unequal length and the steering pivots are not really on center with the beam pivots. Most of the I-beam vehicles suffer from bump steer and radical caster/camber change with increased travel capabilities. Once dialed in, you will be very happy....I sure am with mine!

Could you relay the part number for the Fox shocks you ended up with? Are they specific to Agile, or did Agile just valve them for your application?

The part number will get you a shock for an A-arm F150 of 1997 vintage with a cross bar two bolt lower mount that won't bolt on to your van. The valving will be way off as well. WeldTec gets them directly from us after we modify them to our specs.

If you want to go around WeldTec and ultimately Agile, I'll PM you the part number and you can fend for yourself. I don't want to put it out there for general consumption because it will just get everyone all crossed up and not what they want.

P.s We have purchased every shock that is available from FOX and are back ordered for dozens more... this is one of the reasons we can't keep up with demand.

I understand you are in the process of retiring , I was wondering if the rip kits are going to still be available or is fox going to make a van shock to your specs ?
I've left a few emails and voice mails but haven't heard back ( totally understand you are swamped )
Can I still get a rip kit ?
Cheers

We have a new operating partner coming on board and will be ramping everything up after the first of the year. We have never stopped shipping RIP Kits or doing installs but we keep running out of product. We have applied for our own custom shocks from FOX and committed to the necessary volume but there is a several month lead time to get them. FOX is very busy and growing at a rate that is hard to keep up with.

P.s. I bought FOXF (ticker symbol for FOX Factory stock) just a month or so ago just under $15. It closed today at 18.07 - lots of growth on the horizon.

Had my Weldtec 4" kit installed 2 week ago. Wanted to wait awhile before posting on the ride. Which has improved. My van sat almost perfectly level and I was already running 265/75 r16's before the lift with no rubbing. With the kit I gained an actual 4" in the front (we'll see how it settles in the coming weeks) and in the back I had my leafs re arched and had an add a leaf put in. So far so good. The size is just right and when these 265 Good Year dura tracs are finished I'll go one size up.
