Hey guys, I was hoping to pick your brains. This is actually for work but it pays for my travels so it kind of applies to this site! I have a steel gooseneck trailer that I use to sell products out of. I use a credit card reader attached to my phone and often have a hard time getting a decent signal because of
A: being in a steel box
B: location distance from towers
C: often parked beside large buildings and lots full of trailers
My question is this, if I use a portable hotspot (jet pack) with an external mounted antenna on the roof would it be possible to increase my data to the point that it greatly increase my data speed and decrease my transaction time? I hate having 3 or 4 people waiting and I am outside with my arm in the air trying to get a sale to go through.
I have looked at the Yagi brand antennas but don't know enough to make an informed decision.
Suggestions? Ideas? Resources I can use for research?
