Anybody running the Kenwood TS-2000 as a mobile unit?

My brother has this radio, and it is pretty amazing. Just wondering if anyone is running this as a mobile, and if so, how you are controlling it (i.e. Kenwood mobile kit, or laptop)?
And what type antenna(s) are you using?

Isn't the RS-2000 mobile kit for this radio discontinued?

I would love to run one of these myself but since the mobile head is unobtanium I'm currently leaning towards a 480HX and a D710G. The downside of this choice is that I need to mount two control heads.

I was thinking it is a special order kit, but still available... Haven't really checked lately.
If it is discontinued that would be a bummer! Such an awesome radio.
