2012 Power Wagon Build Thread

I fought the temptation to do this, but temptation got the better of me. I bought my 2012 Power Wagon thinking that I would keep it 100% stock and just be happy with it. Well, that lasted a couple of months, and then we all know how that goes.

Here's how the truck started at the dealership on November 5th, 2011.

The first list of mods included a tool box, tonnau cover, and rock rails and rocker panel coated with Line-X.

Well if a little light and Line-X is good, then more is better. I ended up having the front and rear bumper coated with Line-X as well as the grill. Then I decided to add another set of lights behind the grill, and then add some lights to the back of the truck.

A little time passed, and then I decided it was time for a headache rack. The problem was I didn't like anything that was offered, so I had one built.

And my latest mod earlier this year was the AEV Raised Air Intake.

And here is how it sits today with just over 33,000 miles on it. I'm sure there will be more down the road (there always is), and I could post more pictures (I can be a bit of a picture whore), but I figured this was a good start.

Looks good man! Been anywhere cool with the rig yet?

I guess that depends on what you consider cool. I live in Western Montana, and my truck has taken me hunting in the Big Hole, through Glacier Park, and this past weekend over the Idaho border and above the Lochsa Lodge. I can be in the woods in less than 15 minutes from my house. On top of that my truck tows the family boat, helps my brother come hay season, and it takes me to work each day. It's nice to know I can depend on my truck each day. I guess that's kind of cool. I know it will never be the most extreme truck on the road, but I like to think of it as a compromise between daily driver and exploration vehicle.

Are the lights behind the grille or did you cut it out?

Any pics of the install?

The lights are mounted behind the grill. I don't have any pictures saved on my wiiPod, but I do on my work computer. I'll post pictures of how the lights are mounted on Monday.
