Hi, a little update:

Found a car where I could pick some parts. Seatblets, which mine did not have and soundproofing carpet for the floor. Very useful parts. Also I got a spare compressor and dynamo and an extra drivers seat.

I did cut out the metal around the seatblet nuts, but that was not necesary, my truck had the nuts alreaady in place.

Next up was to get the floor in the cab finnished, its only spotwelded on for now.
I will make a part on the plate bender (plate bender??, u know what I mean...)

The plate 1,5 mm is ready.

Bend and stretch, and knock it a bit around and we got a part.

The new part get welded on after we made a part for the rusted out corner.

Still need to weld a bit more to make it secure. We also drilled 8 holes in the middle of the part and spotwelded it too the floor.

STIG:)

Good work Stig. I just bought a similar truck and was wondering how the work is going. Did you manage to find an operating manual for it yet?

Cab Soundproofing

I was reading on the forum about a company in Minnesota (lots of Norwegians there) that is building campers. They are using a coating product called Lizardskin. I am not sure if you can source it over there, but I am going to try it inside the cab of my Freightliner.
