Land Rover Defender Expedition/Overland Camper

It is hard to compare it to other Land Rovers, because there is simply nothing like it. 1988, Legally purchased, imported, registered and insured in Vancouver BC. Current certified/documented Mileage is 14.641 on original 2.5 TD engine and LT77 transmission. Extensive history documentation available.

VIN: SALLDHAB8BA287132

Features:

- Custom designed and manufactured rear box produced via laser metal cutting and plenty of love, following exact body line, dimensions and shape of this particular defender.

- 10 frame attachment holes mirroring Land Rover Defender manufacturing and specification diagrams.

- 8 storage compartments each designed for the most convenient location on the box and easy access to gear.

Three out of eight compartments have been specifically designed for the fridge, generator and the over sized aux battery.

Long-top-right space is dedicated for fishing gear, High-Jack (Farm Jack) or firearm case.

Top-Left compartment is large enough to store pretty much anything from large bags, suitcases, to sleeping gear.

- 2 rear-top drawers are designed to allow for camping chairs, all of your kitchen accessories and dishes/food.

(there is additional space for food and dishes within the slide out kitchen as well)

- Located behind the kitchen is a large area, currently hosting propane bottle and 60L clear water tank (also accessible from Top-Left compartment for shut-off purpose)

- In addition to the above mentioned 8 compartments, there is also:

1. Water Inlet lockable box

2. Air Compressor area with more additional space

3. Spare diesel container box

4. Pressurized water hose for shower or vehicle rinsing

5. Spare tire compartment

6. Master switches box

7. Every compartment is water tight and lockable with a heavy duty adjustable mechanism

- 4 roof bars specifically designed to support hard top gas struts operated tent, which takes less than 30 seconds to set.

Overall height of the rear box (including the tent on top) is specifically designed to match original height of front cab roof.

1. Total length of the vehicle from the front winch to the end of rear towing hitch is 200 inches (exactly). Total height from the flat floor to the highest point of the vehicle ( roof bars) is exactly 80 inches.

Please note that every piece of equipment seen in above photos is INCLUDED with the Defender. It also comes with complete history documentation and is fully eligible for legal import into US. HS-7 and 3520-1 forms are required for import since it is more than 25 years old. Willing to help with import documentation (US only).

This vehicle has been purchased, restored and built with our dream plan to bring it with us to Costa Rica where we are currently finishing our future house. However, after finding out that importing a 1988 vehicle to the above destination will cost us a small fortune (80% of vehicle assigned value, plus, plus..), we realized that we simply can’t financially justify it, on top of what we have already invested in this unique expedition vehicle.
