Greetings fellow Overlanders,
I'm the oh-so lucky buyer of this incredible machine. Fear not, as I plan to treat her like a queen. Managed to snag it 11hrs after posting because I was literally searching "all of craigslist" every evening for a chinook for the last 4mo. The guy received 15 emails overnight, I just happened to win the lottery. Imagine my adulation when I found not only the camper in good shape, but one that someone had already swapped onto a 4x4 chassis. Best of luck to those still looking, and stay tuned for progress. I'm currently working over the road in southern New Mexico (Hobbs), so I'm away from all my tools. Hopefully I will be able to start in on 'er within the next couple months, which I plan to post on a new thread. I'll be scouring EP for other chinook build threads, so if anyone reading this has one they've done much work on I'd love to hear from you! As of right now, I'm mocking the interior up via Sketchup, much like I did for my "ultralight expedition trailer" build.
