Figure some folks around here might appreciate this tidbit. We just found it out this past week.
2016 is the 100 year anniversary of the National Park Service. From what I gathered at Cabrillo National Monument this is a system-wide celebration. I have not managed to find a link that confirms this, but here is the Cabrillo page: http://www.nps.gov/cabr/learn/kidsyouth/be-a-junior-ranger.htm
The Varmints were happy to find the new badges. I figure they are going to be pushing to visit more National Parks/Monuments this year. Sounds like a good thing to me.
