September 2016; Perth to Exmouth trip Info request

cheers,
looking for info on renting a Landcruiser 4x4 camper troopy and driving from Perth up to Exmouth and camping for 2 weeks along the way.

I'm looking for all sorts of info, camping bays location, good diving spots, where to rent a vehicle.
any security issues to be mindful of?

Is it possible to rent a vehicle one way? or is a round trip mandatory?

Not looking for extreme roads, just the average sand and dirt to get to a beach spot for the night.

There are heaps of sites about travel in West Oz...
Plenty of hire mobs that have Landcruser Troopys set up as campers...
I have never hired a 4x4 ....
as I have only ever owned 4x4's my daily driver is an 80 series

Most of the larger companies will do one way but you might want to concider a car for most of it and then get a 4x4 in Carnarvon to do the blowholes, Quobba station, Ningaloo reef, Exmouth etc. On the way up drop in to Geraldton, Kalbarri, Shark Bay.

Zero security issues
Between Perth and Carnarvon there isnt much to see other than the towns i mentioned.
Carnarvon to Exmouth has HEAPS. 2 weeks isnt enough

For camping along the way get Wikicamps Australia this has everything from paid to free sites and can also have images etc of campsites. I use it all the time.
