I recently retired after 30 years in the Air Force and plan on spending a lot of time in the field gold prospecting and rockhounding, as well as on road trips. I am currently hauling around a 1963 Rolite former pop-up, now framed in to remain upright. Previous owner framed in a ramp door in the back, but it isn't capable of handling a full sized bike. Just finished a 6800 mile road trip with it, and realized it isn't going to meet my needs and sold it to a prospecting buddy.
I LOVE Elmo's set-up he has for sale, but my bike won't fit
I don't need a fancy glam camping toy hauler. I need somewhere to haul my gear and/or my bike and somewhere to sleep. (I had a hammock in my Rolite, so I could sleep while on the road, above my gear). Towing with my lifted Avalanche with 35s, so the lighter the better. It gets crazy windy here in CO, so I'm kinda set on sleeping in the trailer over a RTT set-up.
If you know of something out there, please let me know! I don't mind making a road trip for the right deal.
