Built a Swingout on a Cayenne

Have had a lot of attention for doing this build. Some people say its a crazy to do that to a cayenne. I dont see why not.

Whatever, those people are stupid, this is ridiculously cool. Amazing job. Maybe some edging around the bumper cuts, but that's picking nits.

I would suggest painting it all to match the vehicle, as a final touch in making it really look like a factory option. And loose the red cover on the latch lever. Maybe chrome that piece. Or paint it the same nickel / brush aluminum color as the factory trim

What's the distance between the tire and the latch? Or more correctly, the distance from the hub center to the latch? Would a M/T clear? That tire on there is kinda low profile.

I'm considering a VW Touareg TDI ('09-'10) and this is exact what I would like to do.

BTW, what's the little offset trailer ball for?
