Sterilite Industrial totes

I have a bunch of these Sterilite Industrial totes, and I'm very impressed with them. Even the holes for padlocks have a lip on the lid that goes into the hole on the tub so water doesn't get in. I've left them out in a hard rain overnight and they did not leak at all. I don't know how they would fare strapped to the roof at 70mph, but they'd be fine in a truck bed. Not as thick or sturdy as Pelican cases and the like, but I've sat on them and they hold me just fine (I'm 6 '0", 200#). I like how they are pretty square vs tapered, and they stack well too.

Best of all, they're cheap... $10 and $13!

I wish I would have known about these about 2 weeks ago to compare with. I just got a bunch of garage totes for hauling gear: super cheap, waterproof tubs, rainproof over (better run-off than action packers), stackable, interchangeable lids, latches aren't too weak or stong, 2 smalltubs stacked are about the same size as 1 tall tub, etc.

No padlock holes, and I wish the sides were straighter but for the price of 1 FR WolfPack bin I got storage for all my gear and filled my truck bed.

I'm using a Sterlite footlocker style container as a 'trunk' in my Suburban for now, it works well for the purpose, but its lid isn't sturdy enough to sit on and when I once tried to pitch / slide it into my garage I busted the bottom corner.
It's also serving as a 'locked container' for transporting handguns to the range.

The product posted above sounds like it would be a better sturdier solution in the same lower price range. 1/5th-1/8th of a Pelican for 'non-critical' use.

I have a couple of these, they are pretty tough though I wouldn't call them "industrial".
I cut up a 1x6 into dividers that act as shelves when the tote is on it's side. We use it as a utensils box when camping with the family.

I'm setting up a system in my truck to use these toolboxes as storage containers for most of my gear. It's a modular system and are made of tough resin plastic vs. just simple injection molded plastic. They have decent latches + a water/dust seal on them. They connect together on top of the wheeled base unit too.

Here's a writeup someone did on them:

I feel that for the money they're a pretty good value. I've purchased one set but I haven't configured them with my gear yet. They are definitely well made.
