Looking for ideas on mounting MAxtrax to my flat rack

I have a Baja Rack utility rack with a tent and awning mounted on it. Because of everything else mounted up there, the Baja Rack Maxtrax mounts won't work. I want to mount the up there like in the picture below.

I don't seem to be able to find a kit that will do this, but here's what I'm thinking. If I order Baja Rack tent mounts, and thread the Maxtrax locks through them I think i will work. Has anyone tried this or have a better suggestion? Here's what I'm thinking about using.

We have a 4Runner with a very similar issue and the same rack, with a roof tent.
