Hello!
I'm Miles, a 21 year old from Seattle.
Later this morning (it's 1:30AM as I write this) I will be boarding a train bound for Tucson, AZ. Upon arrival, I'll be renting a car to Silver City, NM and starting my trip there with the intentions of finishing at the Canadian border in Roosville, MT.
Some of your may recognize these two towns as they are apart of the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route. The distance I will be covering represents roughly 2,300 miles of the route.
I'd also like to add that this community has been a great source of information and inspiration for many of my travels and I can only hope that this trip report might someday do the same for another weary traveler.
Occupy kitchen table. Gear lists make more/less sense when everything is finally in front of you.
Gotta love the contrast between 1930s couches and fat bikes. Final changes made to the steed included new brake pads and a little more sealant in the tires for good measure. Be gone thorns!
