DIY fridge slide.

So I was in the market for a slide for my 50qt ARB fridge. After seeing the price, I got up off the floor and decided I'm going to make one. So far I have just over $40.00 into it. Here are some pics. I will try and not forget to take more pics as it comes to completion.

Those are 628Z bearing.
Got them from eBay. $15 for 25 of them.

Today I took the frame work to a friends so he could weld the aluminum cross members. Once that was done. I took it home and began working on the slide latch mechanism. Not sure what will end up be the final product. I found one some other guy did and it seems pretty simple to make and effective. So I may just copy what already works.

I finally finished the slide. I only painted the steel sliding setting. Only because I ran out of paint. So the aluminum base is not getting painted. Here are some pics.

Here it is loaded and fully extended.

I'm totally happy with the end result. Most important. My girl doesn't have to climb on the rock rails to fish through it.
