Default What site has best info on LCs?

Im wanting to look into cruisers for a couple of things but I dont know much about them. One thing Id like to know was last year for solid front axle and factory lockers. Anyway, anyone know a good site to get up to speed on these?

http://ih8mud.com seems to be the recent pot of knowledge and all other things on these vehicles. The personalities are interesting, but knowledgable nonetheless over there.

Last year in the US was 1997 for the SFA. Factory lockers could be had F&R 1993-1997 and just R for 1998-1999. If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask: I've owned way too many of these vehicles in my life .

Ron, not sure if you're looking into this for your world adventure or not but there are folks importing JDM ones in. If it doesn't remain in the states or Canada I'd assume you could bring in any year and if that's the case you can get some pretty sweet vehicles. I believe they still have factory solid axles and lockers in some world markets.

There is a dealer in Gibraltar that will get your whatever you want new! They supply the Red Cross and others.

    Toyota Land Cruiser Association

I'm a proud member and I really enjoy receiving Toyota Trails, their bi-monthly publication.

Their forum is now ih8mud.com as Scott mentioned. Weird name but lots of good info -
'97 Toyota T100 - some stuff and some stories....
    '85 Toyota FJ6O - fractal cruising

currently listening to - Jamey Johnson "The Guitar Song"

the links section in ih8mud.com is also very good, but I am sure you can post most questions you have here, seems to be a good knowledge base here!

    Ron,

The 80 series forum is HUGE at ih8mud and there are tons of nice expedition ready trucks over there. Several of the members here also have the 80 series trucks too.

They really are nice vehicles and if you shop around, you can find vehicles in good condition.

Also read the "newbie" guide at Slee:

Of course I'm biased and like my 100 series
