Thanks for kudos. I didn't mean to throw so many past campsite photos in this thread. I just got a little carried away with fond memories of the Alstrom Point area.

Rubicon Springs this weekend---
Wow, that looks like a great spot.![]()
Rubicon Springs is a great spot to camp--- very clean- camped on solid granite. River and falls right there!!! Its a 'must do' for anyone that is capable of getting there (not easy).
Also camped at Loon Lake, and Buck Island Lake-- all along the Rubicon Trail. We spent 5 days up there!
I have never done the Rubicon but the scenery brings back memories of camping at the lakes along the Dusy Ershim trail in the Sierras. Awesome. Thanks for sharing.
