Brad, that is almost amazing. Kinda spoiled by the truck down by the creek
He was our one and only neighbor in the Basin. Kind of quaint little remote cabin with a couple junker old trucks on the property, but they had some character. The owner was there the first night with smoke coming out his stove pipe and a few small lights on. He left in the morning and was not home for our second night.

I would love to have a little place like this tucked away in the back country. It would be sweet having it stocked with supplies and enjoying the winter storms dumping on you while sitting around the wood stove. I guess I would have to grow my beard a bit longer and get a double barrel 12GA shotgun to properly manage the property. :elkgrin:

1st post and wow there are some amazing set ups in this thread. My wife and I have been getting into camping as of late (no serious overlanding yet) and with a little one on the way it seems like a great and inexpensive way to travel. It is quickly becoming a passion for us both; the quiet tranquility and downtime is what we have been looking for. Here's one from a recent trip to Jim Thorpe.
We were in two sites, so the cooking and cleaning gadgets were one site over. Whats camping without some bacon?

Indeed! I couldn't swing my trip to CO this fall, but there is so much country here in northern MN, that I can get my fix!
I'm only 2 1/2 hours from the border (takes about 3 to get to my favorite spots) it's hard to beat.
Even though I get up there a lot, and have been for over 30 years, things change a bit, and it's all awesome!
Nothing more relaxing than a week+ in the woods, especially during the fall, when the leaves are turning.

Where abouts are you at? Im up in Thunder Bay, going to take a tour down 61 next weekend to check out the north shore colo(u)rs... Definately my favorite time of year!

These are from back in June at our "do it yourself" week long summer camp for our scout troop, troop 157 in Tucson.
We have done this for the last two years because our local scout camp has been closed due to fire restrictions and lack of water. Not that we would have gone there anyway.....lol

Hey Bushcoat! I'm down in Duluth (weird saying 'down' lol) I'll be heading north this weekend, up to the Arrowhead trail (turning north on 16 by Hovland)
Only doing 5 days this year, but that's better than nothing!
