Great pics, thanks for sharing. The roads look very similar to what I encountered in Greenridge State Forest in Western Maryland this past weekend.

Looked like a great time and the truck looks great. :smiley_drive:

The night we arrived at point sublime I had talked to the Australians about a game plan to get them out of the trail. The trail is known for turning into soup when it rains.

the following morning while getting dressed a guy rolled through our camp in a 2wd gardener Tacoma on street tires. I couldn't believe it, surely he didn't just drive this thing 18 miles up the trail, without a drop of mud getting on it, or getting stuck.

He started his drive down and about an hour later we had camp packed up and started heading down the trail. Knowing the road now, 35-40mph was easy, especially going down hill. On our way out, we noticed our Australians friends took off early.

Rounded a corner about 10 minutes into my drive and ended up behind the Australians, who were behind the taco.

I asked them if I wanted to stay with them and they said no. Apparently the Tacoma had suffered a ripped sidewall and was now on the spare. I gave the Aussies two cheapo tow straps and a couple of shackles so they could tow the Tacoma if it got to that.

Back on the road driving to page, Arizona. So we could see the antelope slot canyon.

The slot canyons are on Navajo land and can't be accessed without a tour guide. At first I thought it was a ploy for the Navajo to make money, but after hearing the stories of flash flood deaths, it made sense.

So we hopped onto this superduty in the middle of downtown page and I'm wondering "why the **** does this thing have flat mud terrains on it"

We pulled into the slot canyon parking area, straight through it and into a sand wash. The whoops were brutal. Probably two miles riding in the back of this ****ty truck. They needed kings.

We arrived at the canyon and i was curious, but not amazed. My girlfriend is the one who wanted to go to this place.

But then we entered and it turns into a different world.

Once we were done with that, we drove to lone rock beach campground in Utah. It was a 9mile drive to get there.

We got there and it was flooded with people, and storming pretty bad. So we parked on higher ground with the big diesel pusher RV's instead of on the lake front.

The storm cleared up and this was the view from the tent.

Got fed up with the issues I've had with my rigids. Sent my rigids in for "dealer credit" under warranty. Weird that I've had so many issues with my bars, but none with my q series lights. Got 4 kc Gravity pro6's en route from Idaho. Was planning on some Baja designs lights, but my distributor doesn't carry them.

Got these for a few reasons:

I'm in the "big reflector" camp and believe in large reflectors as opposed to many led's with small reflectors.

The driving pattern is street legal. I got two spots and two driving pattern.

I like the round profile, not a big fan of square lights.

Wow, great looking build you have going! How do you like the RTT on the rack? Have thought about going the RTT route, but a little wary of having it sticking up too high.

There's wind drag, it's not a big deal. All in all I would have built my rack lower if it wasn't for my spare tire setup.

The cog increase is present. But my truck has super soft valving, soft springs, lower sway bar rates, and tall sidewalls. Nothing about my truck is conducive to reducing sway.

With that said, I still don't mind the RTT being up there.

Do you know how high your cab roof sits on your current setup? Just ordered a 2017 2500 with the same Carli lift and I'm curious about how high it will sit and whether I'll clear 7' parking garages with 35s.

I don't have a Carli lift.

And your truck isn't going to fit in a 7' parking garage even at stock height.

Dunno where you got that number, but it might be for a 2wd, I'm 6'2 and there's no way in hell my truck was only 4" taller than me at stock height. Or if that number is correct, it's not accounting for the xm antenna. Either way I've tried to shove my truck in stock form in a 7' garage and it banged the limiter right along the top of the windshield frame.

With that said, back when I bought my truck I had a 4Runner rock crawler. The 4Runner is 7'

Hard to tell in the picture but With thuren 3" leveling coils in the front, stock rear coils, and stock tires, my diesel was taller than the 4Runner.

Got rid of my rigid lights. Upgraded to some kc gravity pro6's. Just need some baja designs s2's now for my amber lighting.

Had to waterjet a new top plate for the lights since it was previously tabbed for 3 lights.

I like them, being able to aim your lights individually is a blessing and a curse though. Im glad the rigids are gone.
