In case you're not familiar with this, the Yukon River Quest is the world's longest kayak race totaling 420 miles and running from Whitehorse, Alaska to Dawson City.
One of my closest friends, Brad Pennington (Team Name is El Nino and he's Team 95), is currently racing in this event. He won the event in 2008 and set a course record at that time which was eventually broken. He's currently in first place in the K1 division (solo kayak) and you can follow the race in the link below. This is a grueling test of strength and stamina. Definitely check it out!
