Lance,
If you find yourself traveling through Yellowstone on your journey, shoot me a PM. I'd love to catch up with you. I'm not sure I'll be able to make it to Bend this vacation. I did manage a trip to Billings to the Mitsubishi dealer last week and got to see a canter (although not 4x4). I liked the sales pitch but the seating in the regular cab bothered my wife. Maybe they'll make a double cab in 4x4 or somebody will offer a conversion kit. Enough of my rambling...safe travels to you and say 'hello' to Jonathan. I have been spreading the word for you guys!!
peace,
Bob

Hi Lance,
Is the EarthCruiser legal in Canada? Apparently the chassis attachment has to be installed in your own country, is this due to legal reasons? If so does it apply to Canada? Here is a quote from the article that mentions this (link below) "Export EarthCruiser: AUD$115,000 (excluding GST). This includes everything that is in a Turn-Key EarthCruiser, however all the add-on chassis components are packaged separately for attachment to your short wheel base Fuso Canter 4WD, with full detailed instructions included." - Is this pertaining to the chassis attachment (eight spring mounts) only? How much work would it be to install them?
If it is possible to have a "complete turn-key" EarthCruiser imported into Canada, would it be more economically feasible to purchase a Mitsubishi Canter FG4X4 in Canada and ship it to Bend Oregon or Australia to be fitted with the EC Camper, chassis, suspension, etc. As oppose to buying one directly from EarthCruiser?

Also, I like how the design of the Left Hand floor plan has the entrance through the shower, utilizing it as a mudroom. Could someone post any photos or a video of the slide-out/hidden toilet design?
Thank You,

SOLO, You may want to send your questions by email to sales@earthcruiserusa.com. I'm not sure how often Lance browses this thread.

S0L0,
You would have to have the Earth Cruiser mounted to your Canadadian purchased Fuso in Canada.
Here is what the Registrar of Imported Vehicles ( www.riv.ca ) has to say:
"Vehicles that have been modified from their original state, other than regular maintenance, may not be eligible for importation into Canada. For example, a van transformed into a motorhome (often known as Class B motorhome), a van equipped with raised roof and/or modified interior, a pick-up or a passenger car equipped with lift kit, a motorcycle converted to a motor tricycle (trike), etc. This also applies to Canadian vehicles modified in the U.S. and returning to Canada"
