Need help choosing lighting system

Okay, so I'm in the process of doing a big conversion on my TJ Rubi. As part of my project, I'm planning to add 4 fog lights to the front of my Garvin roof rack, 2 on the back, and 1 on either side. Do any of you have any suggestions on the best "bang for the buck" lighting system to go with? With so many choices (Hella, PIAA, IPF, KC, etc) I'm just not sure which one to go with.

If you have a tip/suggestion and can post it up, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

I have 4 Hella 550s up on my roof rack (2 fogs and 2 driving) and 2 550s facing the rear. They're alright, I thought they would be somewhat brighter, and for the amount of wheeling I'm doing will do fine until I upgrade. I guess you really can't expect much from 55w halogen lights. I'll leave the 550s facing back, they provide enough light.

I have really been pleased with the performance of the IPF 968 lights I put on my 4Runner earlier this year. I purchased them through Costco for less than $100 and had them to my house in less than a week. They came with both 55Watt and 100Watt bulbs, and I immediately installed the 100Watts. The wiring harness was simple to use, but I did find the switch lacking. I ended up purchasing a cheap rocker switch because it kept falling off of the dash and I didn't like routing the wires where everybody could see.

hella 700FF's or 500 converted to HID using the Ebay Kits. Cheap, and ridiculously bright.

If you can get some lights and convert them to HID, that would be your best bang for buck.

I've got gob of KC Slim Lights on my truck, and they work very well. I've got the 130w "long range" lights, which are like a cross between a spot beam, and a driving beam.

The only thing I don't like is how much power they require. HIDs only require 35w, as where these are 130w.

I have a pair of PIAA 520 amber fogs on my bumper and like them very much. They throw a very broad, bright light.

Bang for buck is a difficult question to answer because not everyone's idea of "bang" is the same. Define what you want your lights to do and where and when you want them to do it, and perhaps we can go from there.

If light intensity and color with minimal electrical draw is important, HID will probably answer your questions. If money is important, halogen will do the job. High speed? Slow speeds? Tight trails? Interstate night-time driving? No one light answers all the questions.

I recommend the LightForce 140's for your rack.
These lights are used by the Military and are bright and extremely durable!

I agree these lights are very good for the money, they come with a fog and driving pattern, and I agree with him the picture do not do them justice!

I guess you can order them and if you do not like them ( From COSTCO ) return them to get your money back!
