I can't remember whose build showed these guys, but they're pretty affordable these days, I'm hoping to get one when I redo my dash.

I'm a land rover driver(LR3) but always had a soft spot for the Montero.

Here's some universal.

Everybody likes tunes so how about a Fusion BT-100 bluetooth dongle so you don't have to plug you're phone in. Sounds silly but I enjoy mine 24/7.. They run about $40 and are waterproof(have one in my boat too). For a topless/buggy setup would be cool with a pyle 400w amp for $30(have one in my boat). This way you simply skip the head unit and run direct from your phone.

An obvious one is a high powered air compressor. I have gone through 2 and the MAsterflow 1050 is good to go. I've burned up the Harbor freight model in very short order.. Skip it. As a bonus you can pick one up at Pep boys with a 20% off coupon. You can then pick up a 5 or 7 gallon tank and in a pinch run air tools. I'd call first because i've seen them out of stock at pep boys often.. You can air up a 33" tire really quick with one of these and upgrade them with standard lines/increase flow.

IMO a good set of tire deflators should be in every rig(along with an air compressor). Here's a killer set if you have amazon prime for $23 shipped. Work great. https://www.amazon.com/EZdeflator-D...qid=1473538782&sr=8-1&keywords=tire+deflators

Doesn't count as a mod but a harbor freight 110v mig welder comes with everything you need to get started for $99 on sale. Once you replace the crap wire with lincoln it actually can do some decent fab work and at least teach you how to weld and that being able to make your own bumper is a cool prospect(or just some sliders).

How about a roof rack made from an ATV aluminum ramp? http://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-write-ups-39/my-atv-ramp-roof-rack-194741/

I'm currently working on this for my LR3 but pretty universal and 1/10th the price of some land rover stuff.

Painting your wheels black isn't exactly an "off road mod" until you realize that not having to clean your wheels again is awesome.

Dual battery setup for $50(not including battery) http://www.expeditionportal.com/for...ke-a-cheap-isolated-dual-battery-setup-for-50

Hidden harbor freight winch plate(minus winch obviously). If I can adapt it to fit and be used on my LR3 then i'm sure you guys can do the same. My hidden winch setup using one for under $60 total.

$20 harbor freight paint gun so you can cover up all the trail damage with some decent 1 part paint/clearcoat.. I managed to do some decent painting with a 3 gallon air compressor but without a compressor you can get creative with the portable air tanks. Turned this into a barely noticable spot with it and if a gorilla like me can then you can.
