It just sits in my shop; I never have time to use it any more, so thought I might put it up here for sale and hope someone can take it for more adventures. Its been to baja twice, Mohave road, and lots of local camping.
I really set it up to be a good FJC companion, but awesome for any rig. The tires and wheels are good spares for FJC if needed, plus I changed out the studs and lugs to match the FJC, so more spares there if needed. Roof top tent is in perfect shape, except for the zipper that closes it up when in storage position. Not that big of a deal. I just use clips to hold it closed.
I had an epic time getting the title transferred when I bought it. But that was all resolved and a new owner can transfer effortlessly now. NV title, clear.
I cut off the trailer jack and re-welded it on higher so that the trailer will sit level when not connected.
After I bought it, I redid the wiring and changed out the tail lights to LED. I installed the optima blue top to power the new ARB fridge. I ran a new wire on the un-used trailer brake plug to a 20 amp switch in the cab that I can use to charge the battery from the FJ while driving, thus keeping the ARB going for longer trips. Really cool!
As far as the trailer, it has a really cool rear shelf that folds down from the rear tailgate. I welded on a support bar that stiffens up the rear when the gate it down (see pic). There is a side shelf that mounts over the wheel-well that is super handy (see pic). There are 2 big posts that come out to form supports for an awning. I also used a folding boat seat to make a cool side seat that can go onto either rear corner from mounts I welded on (see pic). Really nice at the camp.
High-lift jack is included, and mounted to far wall. Threads on the mount were all buggered when I bought it, but that is all fixed now.
See pic for details on the awesome high-pinon angle hitch. Allows complete freedom for the trailer to articulate when off road. Some of the others here were behind me on Mohave Road and can certainly attest to that! It is adjustable as well to get the trailer level when connected. It is also lockable.
Trailer tows effortlessly, even when fully loaded with food and water.
Not sure on price, but knowing what it takes to build these, I was going to ask $4000 with the ARB fridge, and $3600 with out it. In Las Vegas, but could meet somewhere in between if not too far.
Message me or post here for more info. I will try to check back more often.
